Established and ran Education and Outreach Department, Mercury Theatre, Colchester. Winner of the TMA special achievement in Regional Theatre Award. Was responsible for training and managing teams of actors to deliver intensive residencies and workshops to a variety of groups ranging from young offenders to large corporate organisations.
Recent Relevant Projects Include:
One Night Only . Young Promoter’s Group based at the Community Theatre MAP. Vertical group comprising yrs 7 – 13 where they contract, promote and run their own theatre events.
Theatre Royal Plymouth Young Company Shakespeare course. Working with a group of young people on developing their understanding and delivery of Shakespeare. Performances next week
The Pilgrim Show – working with 50 young people from Pilgrim Primary School in devising and producing a large scale performance centered around leadership and self esteem. Performance on April 1st
Shakespeare in Communication as performance – working with a series of medical students using drama as a means of direct communication within a consultant setting. Ongoing Performances.
Shakespeare Slalom – lead practitioner on major Shakespeare project currently running in the city, introducing Shakespeare to a range of visiting schools.

Greece-Theatre Kefalonia – Worked as resident Artistic Director with a small group of third age residents in Kefalonia, helping explore text and narrative both classical and devised and helping to establish their own theatre company.

Assistant Director working with Theatre Royal/Ghana Link and AViDGhana- Theatre Exchange Project – The Marriage of Anansewa
Production involved selecting and taking 10 young people from schools in Plymouth to Ghana on a cultural exchange that included the rehearsal and production of a professional show based on a Ghanayan folk story involving 10 Students from a range of schools at Takori Sakondi. The students lived and rehearsed with each other for ten days. The entire company was then involved in returning to UK and presented the show in The Drum Theatre Royal Plymouth.
April 2006
China Artistic Director Youth Theatre Tour of Caucasian Chalk Circle. Cities visited –Bejiing, Anshan, Dallion. Large, independent project that included ‘A’ level students from school throughout the South West. Rehearsed and performed here in Plymouth and was then invited out to perform at a range of both private and state schools in the cities mentioned . Links were made and are still established with host institutions.
